Due to a removal of our magazines the library will be closed from 28 June 2012 up to and including 17th July 2012.
We expect you again from the 18th July 2012 at our usual opening times.
After the moving, all stocks should be ordered in advance by phone or mail.
The Swiss National Museum’s publicly accessible library specializes in archaeology, art history, cultural history, Swiss history, museology, restoration and conservation.
The library’s collection currently includes some 70,000 volumes as well as approximately 800 current subscriptions to periodical. There is an emphasis on exhibition and auction catalogues. Of particular note is the facsimile collection from Faksimile Verlag…

Use of the library
The SNM library is a reference library with a reading room and photocopying facilities. Most items can be borrowed over the weekend (from Friday to Tuesday). However, you are advised to order books in advance by e-mail or phone.
